ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football program announced the addition of 19 student-athletes to the Wolverines program through the two 2017-18 National Letters of Intent signing periods.

• Michigan went international with the addition of Julius Welschof, who became the first-ever European prospect to sign a Letter of Intent with the football program. Welschof is from Miesbach, Bavaria, Germany, and played for the Munich Cowboys.
• Quarterback Joe Milton, defensive back Myles Sims and defensive lineman Taylor Upshaw enrolled at Michigan in January for Winter term classes that began Jan. 3.
• Nationally recognized athletes include three U.S. Army All-American Game participants (Aidan Hutchinson, Cameron McGrone and Jalen Mayfield), two Under Armour All-American Game participants (Mustapha Muhammad and Myles Sims) and one player in the Polynesian Bowl (Mustapha Muhammad).
• Five young men participated on the USA Football U19 National team that played in the International Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Dallas: Gemon Green, German Green, Hassan Haskins, Christian Turner and Luke Schoonmaker.
