
Michigan to Host No. 8 Penn State on Big Ten Network

» The Wolverines enter the Saturday's meet against the Nittany Lions with a team four-score average of 405.850, good for No. 8 in the country, as well as top-10 rankings in five of six events in the RoadToNationals rankings.
» Freshman Jacob Moore is ranked third nationally on floor exercise with his top score (14.950) the highest in the country heading into Week 10 of competition.
» Junior Emyre Cole is ranked fifth in the country on floor with an average score of 14.362. Redshirt-junior Marty Strech comes in at eighth in the nation on still rings with an average score of 14.100 and a season high of 14.20.

The seventh-ranked University of Michigan men's gymnastics team (7-3, 2-1 B1G) hosts No. 8 Penn State (10-4, 1-4 B1G) on Saturday (March 24) to start its two-meet homestand to close out the regular season. The matchup is slated for a 1 p.m. start from Cliff Keen Arena and will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.
WOLVERINE BITES
• U-M enters the meet with a team four-score average of 405.850, which places them at No. 8 in the country, as well as top-10 rankings in five of the six events. The Wolverines are ranked sixth on floor exercise (68.617), 10th on pommel horse (65.750), fifth on still rings (68.467), sixth on vault (70.617) and seventh on parallel bars (67.267).
• Freshman Jacob Moore is ranked third in the nation on floor with an average score of 14.390. His highest score on the event is a 14.950, which remains the top score in the country on the event heading into Week 10 of competition.
• Junior Emyre Cole also is ranked nationally on floor (fifth) with an average score of 14.362. He boasts the third-highest floor score in the country with the 14.70 he secured at the International Collegiate Challenge (March 3).
• Redshirt junior Marty Strech is ranked eighth in the nation on still rings with an average score of 14.100 and owns a season-high 14.20.
• In last weekend's tri-meet against Navy and William & Mary (March 17), Michigan scored its second-highest road score of the season (403.550). The Wolverines also earned a new season best on high bar with a 68.00 team score, led by a new career best for junior Alec Krystek (14.20). The Maize and Blue won five-of-six team and individual events, with pommel horse being the lone exception in both categories.
• The Wolverines have been on the road for the last three team competitions over the past month. Michigan will finish the year when Illinois-Chicago comes to town for senior night inside Crisler Center (March 31) and will follow by hosting the Big Ten Championships at Crisler Center (April 6-7).
OPPONENT PREVIEW
• Penn State travels to Ann Arbor as the No. 5 team in the nation, according to RoadToNationals, with seven individuals ranked in the top-10 nationally across four events.
• Ranked in the top-five in the country, three PSU individuals are ones to watch on Saturday: sophomore Stephen Nedoroscik ranks third on pommel horse, redshirt-junior Noah Roberson ranks fifth on still rings and sophomore Sam Zakutney ranks second on parallel bars.
• The Nittany Lions will to close out their regular season against the Wolverines on Saturday (March 24)  after a loss at home on senior night (March 17) to the No. 4-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers.
