ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's soccer junior Knox Cameron (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman HS) was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week announced Sunday (Aug. 31). Though the Wolverines produced a 2-0 record in East Lansing, Mich., over the holiday weekend, Cameron was chosen to the National Team of the Week solely on his performance in a 2-0 victory over No. 22 Loyola Marymount Sunday afternoon.

Cameron continued his early hot streak the following afternoon in a 1-0 victory over Xavier as he tallied the game-winner at 65:26 on a nice feed by Dawson Stellberger (Crested Butte, Colo./Crested Butte Academy).
It marks the second consecutive year Cameron has scored at least one goal in each of Michigan's first two matches. Last year Cameron netted a pair of goals against both UC-Santa Barbara and Wright State.
Michigan begins the home portion of its 2003 schedule this weekend when the Wolverines welcome Dayton and Evansville to the U-M Soccer Field for a pair of non-conference affairs. U-M will face Dayton in the home opener Friday (Sept. 5) at 6 p.m. then return to the pitch Sunday (Sept. 7) for a 4 p.m. matchup with Evansville.
