2020 Student-Athlete Graduation Celebration
Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
Although the COVID-19 pandemic prevents us from being together in Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan Athletic Department celebrates the accomplishments of the more than 170 student-athletes who graduate from U-M on Saturday, May 2.
The department has annually held its Student-Athlete Graduation Celebration the day prior to University's spring commencement. This year we present a virtual experience featuring a video that includes Warde Manuel, the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics, as well as women's track and field student-athlete Kayla Keane and keynote speaker Tracy Wolfson, a U-M alumna and CBS Sports personality.
Be sure to check out the senior highlight video featuring a poem from women's swimming and diving team member Jacqui Shafer.
Congratulations to all of this year's graduates as you join the largest living alumni base in the country, and thank you for your contributions to Michigan Athletics. Forever GO BLUE!!

Your graduation underscores your ability to overcome tremendous obstacles, to persevere and achieve great things.- Warde Manuel
An annual tradition of the Student-Athlete Graduation Celebration is to gather our graduates on the block M on the William Davidson Player Development Center practice court. This year the athletic department has created a photo montage of all of our graduates. It is our hope that these young men and women will be able to reconvene on campus at a future date to participate in a traditional graduation ceremony alongside their peers.
Most importantly, though, listen to yourself. Trust what you believe in and what your education and your time here at Michigan has prepared you for.- Tracy Wolfson

Michigan fans can support our graduating seniors throughout the day on Saturday, May 2, with a Virtual Maize Out celebration. » Details
