JOHN ROTCHE
Director of M Power and Entrepreneurship
A former member of the Michigan Football program and graduate from The University of Michigan, John Rotche spent his entrepreneurial career launching and selling franchise businesses.
After serving in leadership positions for Domino’s Pizza and Krispy Kreme Dougnuts, Rotche launched two different franchise business of his own and grew both to over 300 locations prior to selling to a billion-dollar based Michigan company.
Soon after, he turned his focus towards mentorship. Rotche is credited for launching Michigan Football’s Team Blue internship, The International Franchise Association’s FranShip Mentorship program, The Professional Athlete Franchise Initiative for the National Football League and MPower for Michigan Football.
CHRIS BRYANT
Director of Player Development
Chris Bryant, a Chicago native and Simeon Career Academy alum, was a student-athlete on the Michigan football team from 2011 - 2015. Due to a set of injuries during his career at Michigan, he had to hang up the cleats and medically retire from the game of football.
Bryant finished his undergraduate degree from Michigan and received his master’s degree from Michigan in Management in Health with a focus in mental health in sports.
After working as a recruiting intern, he was hired full-time as the Director of High School Relations to help with recruiting and relationship-building connections. Upon finding his passion for helping young men develop and prepare for life after football during their time at Michigan, he was promoted to the team's first Director of Player Development.
As this role as Director of Player Development, Chris has been a key piece in helping the players navigate through these new times of college football. Through financial literacy, stress management, community service, networking events, internship opportunities, and career planning, Chris prepares players for life off the field.
