Hultin works primarily with the defense, helping the Wolverines to 12 clean sheets, one off the school record, in the 2021 fall campaign. She was also instrumental in Alia Martin's move from offense to defense. Upon Martin's graduation in 2021, she goes down in school history as a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America.Â
After seven shutouts in the 2019 campaign. Hultin was instrumental in guiding the backline to five shutouts in the 2018 campaign, including a 2-0 victory over No. 17 Wisconsin.
Hultin comes to Ann Arbor following two seasons on the staff at the University of Oregon where she worked as a specialist with the defense and goalkeepers. The Ducks won eight games in each season, matching their best win total since 2012.

In 2014 Illinois recorded six shutouts and reduced its goals allowed from 50 in 2013 to just 19 while posting a 10-8-2 record. The defensive display extended to 2015 as the Illini recorded four shutouts and allowed just 21 goals while producing a 10-6-3 record.
Prior to her time in the Big Ten, Hultin was the goalkeepers coach at Seattle University, where she worked from 2009 through March of 2014. Hultin was part of a Redhawks staff that won the Western Athletic Conference regular-season and conference tournaments en route to an NCAA Tournament appearance. During her time in Seattle, Hultin's keepers attained a 1.00 goals against average or better in each season with a sparkling 0.84 goals-against-average in 2013.Â
Hultin earned a degree in biology from Washington State University in 2005. At WSU, she was a four-year letterwinner on the soccer team where she was a consistent presence in the Cougars' record books. Upon graduation, she owned career records in shutouts (21) and saves (248), and was third all-time in wins with 23. She was a three-time All-Pac-10 honoree and team most valuable player in 2004.
Hultin also has professional experience as she was a member of the W-League's Arizona Heatwave, Mile High Mustangs and the Seattle Sounders. She also participated in the 2009 Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) pre-season.Â
Hultin originally hails from Denver, Colorado, and was a member of the Colorado State ODP team and Region IV team from 1997-2001.
Her coaching experience also includes being the Girls’ Coaching Director at FC Alliance and on the Region IV ODP staff. She currently holds her USFF A License. Â
