Kalia Krichko

Kalia Krichko joined the 2018-19 Michigan Rowing Staff after her own four-year career at U-M. She graduated with her degree in civil engineering in 2019.
Krichko worked closely with coach Dan Harrison and the novice program in her season on-staff. Together, they helped the novice eight boats to medalist finishes at the Big Ten Championships (gold, 1N8; bronze, 2N8) as the program won its first Big Ten Title since 2012. The Wolverines went on to place third at the NCAA Championships behind a program-record 119 points.
Krichko was also part of the 2019 CRCA Region 4 Staff of the Year.

Krichko was a two-time Pocock All-American as a Wolverine, earning second-team honors in 2017 and 2018. She was also a second-team CRCA All-Region honoree and made one All-Big Ten team (2018, second team).

She won three Big Ten medals (two silvers, first varsity eight, 2017-18; one bronze, first varsity four, 2016) and helped lead U-M to four consecutive second-place Big Ten finishes. On the national stage, she rowed at the NCAA Championships twice. Krichko helped lead the 1V8 to a fifth-place finish in 2017, leading to a third-place program finish. As a senior, she stroked the 1V8 boat to a 10th-place NCAA finish.

Krichko was a member of the USRowing Junior National Team prior to her arrival in Ann Arbor, and she was selected to the 2013 Junior World Development Team as well. When she arrived at U-M, Krichko spent her first two seasons moving between Michigan's third and first varsity four boats.

A native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Krichko was twice named an Academic All-Big Ten selection (2017-18) during her time at Michigan.
