While most people recognize Dan Dierdorf as an NFL analyst, before he rose to fame on television Dierdorf had successful college and pro football careers. As an offensive lineman for the Wolverines from 1968-1970, he helped U-M achieve a 27-6 record, the 1969 Big Ten title and 1970 Rose Bowl appearance. His contributions were noted by opposing coaches and the media, earning him All-America honors in 1970 and three All-Big Ten awards, including a pair of first team selections. After concluding his college career, Dierdorf had a stellar NFL career, earning All-Pro honors five times, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
