George Lee
- Induction:
- 1983
- Class:
- 1959
A four-year letterman and co-captain of Michigan's 1959 squad, George Lee was known for his hustle and scoring abilities. He scored 1,042 points as a Wolverine to rank among the Big Ten's highest scorers. After graduating in 1959, critics claimed that the six-footer was not big enough to make it as an NBA forward. After a short stint in the National Amateur League, Lee proved his critics wrong by becoming the NBA's smallest starting forward with the Detroit Pistons.
