Merv Pregulman

A native of Lansing, Pregulman saw action on both sides of the line as guard, center, and tackle, and was selected three times to the All-Big Ten squad. After leading the Wolverines to the 1943 co-Big Ten Championship, Pregulman earned All-American honors at tackle. Pregulman began his Wolverine career as winner of the 1941 Meyer Morton award for his promising play during the spring practice. Pregulman was selected in the National Football League's first round draft by Green Bay. He closed a four year professional career with the Detroit Lions. Â He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
