Tom Robinson is one of the most decorated track stars in Michigan history, winning nine individual Big Ten championships from 1959-61 as a sprinter. The 1961 Wolverine track captain and Yost Award winner was also a member of four Western Conference Championship teams. He set a total of 10 school records during his career at Michigan and placed fifth in the 100 and 200 meters in the NCAA outdoor meet in 1960. Robinson represented the Bahamas in several international competitions, including four Olympic Games. He was a finalist in the 100 meters in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo and set a world record for the 300 meters indoors in 1964 at Winnipeg.
