ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The 19th-ranked University of Michigan women's soccer team lost to a ranked opponent for the second time in as many games at U-M Soccer Field, falling 2-0 to No. 20 Brigham Young on Friday (Oct. 30).
Shauna Rohbeck scored in the 14th minute off an assist from Karen Robbins to get the Cougars on the board. Staci Reynolds added a goal at 31:16 to put BYU up 2-0 at the half. Jennifer Waldren made nine saves for the Cougars in earning the shutout.
Jessica Jones (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) made nine saves in the Wolverine net. Her record falls to 6-2-0.
Michigan will close out the regular season Sunday (Nov. 1) by hosting Kentucky for Senior Day at 1 p.m. at the Michigan Soccer Field.
