ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Junior forward Amber Berendowsky (Brighton, Mich./Brighton HS) of the University of Michigan women's soccer team has been named to the All-Great Lakes Region Second-Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
An All-Big Ten Conference Second-Team pick in 1998, Berendowsky collected 28 points on 11 goals and six assists this past season, helping the Wolverines to a 14-7-1 overall record and second straight NCAA Tournament berth. She also became the school's all-time career goals scored leader with 34 and currently owns every Michigan season and career offensive record.
This is the second time in Berendowsky's career that she has earned All-Region honors. In 1997, she was a first-team selection by the NSCAA.
