Crumpton's high school career has included three first team all-state selections from the forward position as she led Rochester Adams in scoring each of those three campaigns. In addition, Crumpton has been a four-year member of the Region II Olympic Development Team (1996-99). Crumpton was also a member of the 1998 Michigan Dream Team and plays for the Michigan Hawks Soccer Club out of Livonia.
"I expect Abby to be one of the best forwards in the Big Ten coming in as a freshman," explained head coach Debbie Belkin. "She possesses great speed and continues to get better and better. She is also a great finisher, which means she puts the ball in the net."
Sullivant is a forward who earned 1998 first team all-state honors and was a member of the 1998 Michigan Dream Team. In addition to being selected MVP of her conference in 1997, Sullivant has been a member of the Region II Olympic Development Team from 1995-99. Like Crumpton, Sullivant plays for the Michigan Hawks Soccer Club.
"Sullivant is a forward who is very fast and strong," Belkin noted. "Her strength allows her to be a great ball-winner and she is very dangerous offensively because of her speed and physical play."
Michigan finished the 1998 season with a 14-7-1 record and was ranked 19th in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. The Wolverines placed fifth in the Big Ten Conference regular-season standings (5-3-1) and tied for third at the league tournament.
