With 95 points, the unranked Wolverines beat out No. 17 Minnesota and No. 18 Michigan State by three points and 11 points, respectively.

Q U O T E S
Head Coach Mike McGuire
"I thought we stepped up to the challenge. We had a specific goal of being second and being able to knock off Minnesota and Michigan State, who were fired up and thought this was their chance to get us. I thought, in particular, we had a really big race out of Marcy Akard. I thought Elizabeth Kampfe ran really tough, Katie Clifford ran well and getting Erin White back in the lineup helped us. I think we can use this as a springboard to move on to bigger and better things in the next two championship meets."
Senior Elizabeth Kampfe
"I think that we outdid our expectations. We met our goal not only to run well, but to run great and we did that."
Junior Lisa Ouellet
"The team completely reached and hit its goal for today. We've got a lot more potential."
