Trexler Takes Two Diving Events at EMU Invitational

U-M was led by senior tri-captain Josh Trexler (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook HS), who took home first place in two of three diving events. In the platform dive, Trexler turned in a score of 477.95, and in the three-meter dive he turned in an NCAA zone diving qualifying mark of 503.10. He finished second in the one-meter diving with a score of 490.55, which is also an NCAA zone diving qualifying mark.
Junior Mike O'Connor (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Grosse Pointe North HS) placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:36.59. He finished fourth in both the 200-yard butterfly and the 1,650-yard freestyle.
Freshman Justin Drake (Phoenix, Ariz./Arcadia HS) finished third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:36.82) and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle.
The next U-M meet is at Arizona State on Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. MST.
