The Wolverine Newcomers
The Michigan women's cross country team is laying the groundwork for a solid future with this year's freshmen. At the Michigan State Dual Jane Martineau and Lyndsi Gay (Reynolds, Ohio/Reyoldsburg HS), the only freshmen to compete, finished in fourth and seventh place, respectively.
"I thought they had very solid first races," said head coach Mike McGuire. "Jane is particulary a pleasant surprise. Both work very hard and like to train. Bigger and better things are going to happen to them and the team."
