Lund and Hart Fall in First Round Main Draw Doubles

BALTIMORE, Md. -- University of Michigan senior women's tennis players Danielle Lund (Leominster, Mass./Leominster HS) and Brooke Hart (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson HS) suffered a first round loss in main draw doubles Thursday (Sept. 23) at the 1999 National Intercollegiate Clay Court Championships held at the Suburban Club of Baltimore County.
Hart and Lund, ranked No. 20 nationally in doubles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, fell to No. 3 seed Mariana Eberle and Celeste Frey of Mississippi in straight sets (6-2, 6-1). Hart and Lund, who faced the No. 5 ranked team in the country for the first time in their career, have combined to post a 53-44 doubles record together.
