Wolverine Stickers Send Nine to USFHA "A" Camp

Michigan assistant coaches Tracey Fuchs and Peggy Storrar are returning players from the 2000 U.S. National Team, which will compete at the camp. Fuchs is a two-time Olympian (1988, '96) and has captained the team since 1990. Storrar has been a national team member since 1997 and was selected the U.S. field hockey player of the year in 1998.
Along with their coaches, seniors Kelli Gannon (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual HS) and Courtney Reid (South Deerfield, Mass./Northfield Mt. Hermon HS) headline the seven Wolverine players at the "A" Camp. Gannon and Reid finished their careers at U-M as the second (126) and fourth (96) leading scorers in Michigan history, respectively.
Rounding out the Wolverine representation are 2000 Junior Pan American silver medalists April Fronzoni (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West HS) and Kristi Gannon (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual HS), 2000 U.S. Under-19 team member Jessica Rose (Lititz, Pa./Warwick HS), Stephanie Johnson (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid School) and Molly Maloney (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest HS).
The U.S. National Team will begin competion at the Americas Cup in Jamaica in March, and the Under-21 team will begin play at the FIH Junior World Cup May 14-16 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
