Gold led the Wolverines with a career-best 95 tackles (71 solo, 24 assists), including 10 TFLs, four sacks, three forced fumbles two PBUs and one interception in 1999. He capped his career with a team-high 12-tackle performance against Alabama in the 2000 FedEx Orange Bowl, and in the process surpassed the 200-tackle plateau for his career (203 stops). A four-year letterman, Gold received All-Big Ten Conference honors during his final two years and was the team's Roger Zatkoff Award winner (given to top linebacker) last year.
The NFL Draft concludes tomorrow (Sunday, April 16) with rounds 4 through 8, beginning at 11 a.m. EDT on ESPN and continuing at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
