Six Michigan Football Players Selected in 2000 NFL Draft

Fullback Aaron Shea (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa HS) and defensive lineman Josh Williams (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek HS) were chosen during the opening stages of Sunday's fourth round. Shea was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 110th overall draft pick, and Williams went to the Indianapolis Colts with the 122nd choice in the draft.
In the sixth round, inside linebacker Dhani Jones (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill HS) became the property of the New York Giants with the 177th selection. Quarterback Tom Brady (San Mateo, Calif./Serra HS) was selected 22 spots later in the sixth round (199th selection) by the New England Patriots.
All-America nose tackle Rob Renes (Holland, Mich./West Ottawa HS) became the Wolverines' final player selected in the 2000 NFL Draft, joining defensive linemate Josh Williams with the Indianapolis Colts. Renes was chosen by the Colts in the seventh and final round with the 235th pick of the draft.
