Greene most recently was an assistant coach at Eastern Michigan University during the 1999-2000 season. He helped the Eagles to a 15-13 overall record and a trip to the Mid-American Conference tournament. Prior to EMU, he was an assistant coach at Mott Community College in Flint, Mich., during the 1996-97 season and helped that team to a No. 1 ranking in the national junior college ranks.
As a high school player, Greene was a Parade Magazine All-American at Flint Central High School. He averaged 24.0 points and 11.5 rebounds as a senior and helped lead the basketball team to a three-year record of 64-13, including the 1983 Class A state championship. In addition to basketball, Greene was an All-American and two-time All-State safety/receiver for the Central football team.
Greene then moved on to DePaul University, where he started in 97 of his then school-record 125 games played. He scored 1,334 points during his career and added 513 rebounds and 449 assists. He earned his bachelor's degree from DePaul in 1994.
The 33-year-old Greene (4/26/67) lives in Flint with his wife, Samona Nelson-Greene, and their three children: Cimone (2/18/92), Tyianna (2/14/97) and Terence II (5/11/98).
