CALGARY, Alberta -- The University of Michigan's Andy Hilbert (Howell, Mich.) was selected by the Boston Bruins as the seventh pick in the second round (37th overall) of the 2000 National Hockey League's Entry Draft today (Saturday, June 24).
Hilbert, a 5-11, 190-pound center, was ranked 29th among North American skaters by the Central Scouting Service entering the draft. Last season, as freshman for the Wolverines, he was third on the team in scoring with 33 points (17-16-33). He finished the season with 43 penalty minutes and a plus-minus rating of +7.
