Foreman, who was also a third-team All-American last season, concluded the season with two goals and a team-high 17 assists for 21 points. A member of the All-Big Ten Conference first team, Foreman scored the decisive marker in a 2-1 overtime win over Michigan State in the NCAA quarterfinals on Nov. 11, sending Michigan to the Final Four, then capped off her career with an assist on the Wolverines' second goal in a 2-0 win over No. 1 Maryland for the NCAA title.
Foreman finished her career with four goals and a school-record 61 assists for 69 points while playing 91 games, including 90 starts.
Michigan (18-5, 4-2 Big Ten) concluded the season last weekend by capturing the program's first-ever NCAA championship, defeating No. 1 Maryland by a 2-0 margin on Sunday (Nov. 18) in Kent, Ohio. The win gave the Wolverines their first-ever national championship in a women's sport.
NOTE: A scoring change occurred on Michigan's second goal in the NCAA championship game against Maryland, giving Foreman her 17th assist of the season. The goal, which was scored during a penalty corner opportunity, was initially credited to junior forward Jessica Rose (Lititz, Pa./Warwick HS) from sophomore defender Kristi Gannon (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual HS). After further review, the goal was given to Gannon, with assists awarded to Foreman and senior midfielder Ali Balmer (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata HS).
