Currently the Wolverines' leading scorer, Cammalleri has recorded a team-high eight goals and seven assists for a team-best 15 points. He also paces the team in power-play goals (3) and has posted five multiple-point games in 13 skates this season, including a pair of three-point outings.
One of five returning forwards from last year's Team Canada squad, Cammalleri notched 4-2-6 totals in seven games during last year's World Junior Championships, helping the team to a bronze medal in Moscow. He is also one of two U.S. college players invited to the camp, joining Michigan State defenseman Duncan Keith.
Because he will be attending the selection camp, Cammalleri will miss Michigan's non-conference game against Harvard on Dec. 15.
Team Canada's selection camp will take place from Dec. 10-17 and will feature two intrasquad games as well as two pre-competition games against the Ontario University Athletics' All-Stars. The final roster will be announced following the selection camp on Dec. 17, with the 2002 IIHF World Junior Championships scheduled for Dec. 25, 2001-Jan. 4, 2002, in the Czech Republic.
