Michigan Trio Named to All-Great Lakes Region Teams

Turpin, who was named to the All-Big Ten second team, finished third on the team in scoring with 10 points on three goals and four assists. Turpin netted his first career goal against Dayton (Sept. 28) and assisted on both goals in the 2-1 victory over Wisconsin (Oct. 21).
Taylor, who also earned second team All-Big Ten honors, finished the season with three goals in 14 games for the Wolverines. Taylor was the field leader for a defense that posted six shutouts, three coming in conference play. Taylor scored goals in back-to-back games during the week of Sept. 24, as he netted goals against Dayton (Sept. 28) and Western Michigan (Sept. 30).
The Wolverines finished the year with a record of 10-7-1, 3-3 in the Big Ten, surpassing their inaugural season records of 6-10 and 1-5. Michigan posted its first-ever postseason victory when it defeated host Wisconsin 1-0 Nov. 8 at the Big Ten Championship.
