Wolverines Compete as Individuals at Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The No. 2-ranked University of Michigan men's gymnastics team sent several individuals to compete against No. 5 Michigan State and No. 6 Iowa on Saturday (March 10) at Jenison Field House. The Wolverines did not field a full six-person team in any of the six events.
Junior Brad Kenna (Barberton, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit HS) finished tied for first place on the floor exercise (9.350) and tied for fourth on horizontal bar to lead the Wolverines. Fellow sophomore Daniel Diaz-Luong (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt HS) captured second-place honors on the still rings (9.350) and third place on the pommel horse (9.300).
Sophomores Jamie Hertza (West Bloomfield, Mich./West Bloomfield HS) and Conan Parzuchowski (Northville, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit HS) also performed well, with Hertza finishing fourth on the pommel horse (9.150) and Parzuchowski tying for second on the still rings (9.350).
The Wolverines' next competition is Friday (March 16) against Michigan State at 7 p.m. in Crisler Arena.
