Kayal Named to Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Senior tri-captain Andrea Kayal (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills HS) of the University of Michigan women's soccer team was honored in the national soccer media for her play last week. Kayal was named to Soccer Buzz's Elite Team of the Week, the publication announced today (Wednesday, Oct. 30). It is the second time this season that Soccer Buzz has selected Kayal for the weekly honor.

With her two markers against Oakland, Kayal increased her goal total to five. Kayal is fifth on the Wolverines in scoring with 11 points. Prior to her second goal, Kayal's last six goals had been game-winners. She is fifth on Michigan's all-time list with seven game-winning tallies.
Kayal was also selected as an Elite Team of the Week member for her play the week of Sept. 30 in games against Penn State (Oct. 4) and Ohio State (Oct. 6).
Soccer Buzz is an online magazine dedicated to women's college soccer. The publication's team of the week is released every Wednesday and is composed of the previous week's 11 top performers from around the country.
