On the game ... "We feel great. Our kids have battled hard all year long. We got out to a slow start, but I told our kids before the Charleston Southern game that our record was 0-0 and it helped get our minds right. This is a big win for us to come in here and win against a team like UCLA in Pauley Pavilion, where it is very difficult to win. I am pleased for the kids. UCLA has a storied tradition of excellence and I hope we continue to play like we have in these past five games."
On this being a steppingstone for the rest of the season ... "We are hoping it will. I don't know if this is going to be the one that we are going to look back on but I think it is a big win for us. I think the win over Vanderbilt showed us that we can beat the big teams from the big conferences, but I will say that this is a great win for the kids and the program."
U-M Freshman Point Guard Daniel Horton
On his three-point shooting ... "Being back home in Texas for a few days, I was able to give my legs some rest and that helped a lot today. I just hit the shots that the defense gave me."
On UCLA's run in the second half ... "We knew that they were never going to quit. They were playing in front of their home crowd and they got back into the game with a run in the second half, but we were able to hit some free throws late in the game for the win."
On the win ... "This is probable the biggest win I have been a part of. To come in here and beat a team like UCLA is huge."
