U-M Head Coach Tommy Amaker
On today's game ... "We didn't do the things we needed to in order to win the game and execute in order to make a big upset, but we did play hard. When you face a team that has superior quickness and is very talented on the perimeter it makes it difficult to pass the ball and we turned the ball over a number of times. We are not going to be effective against anybody if we keep turning the ball over like we are."
On the play of Graham Brown ... "I am really proud of him. I haven't seen the stats yet, but I just thought he was absolutely phenomenal in the way he played and battled on the court. It was evident in how hard he played and the things that he was doing to try an execute our game plan."
On looking ahead to the next game ... "We are still on the winless side of the column and we are hoping that we can keep moving forward to see if our next game will hopefully be our first victory."
On getting off to a good start ... "I thought it was important that we needed to get off to a decent start. They were coming in off of a three-game stretch before exams for them. The timing was there for us to see if we could hang tough in the battle; our kids did that. They did a great job of coming out of the blocks, and we were ahead at the first media timeout. That was our goal and we achieved that, but you really saw the power of their team, especially at home."
U-M Freshman Wing Lester Abram
On the game ... "We started off well, but we faded away from our game plan. When we did that we started losing. It was unfortunate that we didn't stick with what the coaches wanted us to do. That is how we lost today -- too many turnovers and not doing what the coaches said."
On what the team needed to do better in order to stick with the game plan ... "We needed to make more passes and have less turnovers."
On Cameron Indoor Stadium ... "The gym is small, so it makes it look like there is a lot of people, but there really aren't that many people in here. It reminded me of high school a little bit, but it wasn't anything major. I wasn't nervous or anything like that."
