SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team only competed in one race at the two-day, non-scoring Alex Wilson Invitational on Friday and Saturday (March 1-2) as the four-member distance medley relay team took eighth place Friday evening.
In a race where 12 teams earned NCAA qualifying marks (six automatic and six provisional) the Wolverines ran to an eighth-place finish when they crossed the line in a time of 9:45.30. It was the second provisional mark of the season for the Maize and Blue, who posted a season-best 9:41.96 at the USTCA Collegiate Challenge.
Michigan will have to wait until Monday (March 4) to see which Wolverines will be participating in the NCAA Indoor Championships next weekend (March 8-9) Fayetteville, Ark.
