He recorded his 1,200th career point and 600th career rebound and earned his 21st career double-double against Penn State on Feb. 9. He has three double-doubles this season. Additionally, he set and tied a career high in rebounds (14) against Oakland (Nov. 16) and at Penn State (Jan. 2).
This is the third straight year that Blanchard has been an All-Big Ten honoree. He earned second-team All-Big Ten honors from both the media and coaches as a sophomore in 2000-01.
Blanchard and the rest of the No. 10 seed Wolverines will tip off the Big Ten Tournament Thursday (March 7) when they play No. 7 seed Northwestern in the first round at 4:30 p.m. at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. The game will be televised on ESPN.
