Michigan extended its winning streak to 12 with a 75-63 victory over Minnesota today. The last time the Wolverines won 12 consecutive games was during the 1992-93 season.
Michigan's 12-game winning streak ties the eighth longest streak in school history. The Wolverines' longest winning streak is 17 games from Jan. 12-March 15, 1985.
Michigan improved its record in the Big Ten to a perfect 5-0. The last time the Wolverines started the Big Ten season 5-0 was during the 1976-77 season, when they won their first eight conference games.

Tonight's game was Michigan's 300th Big Ten contest in Crisler Arena, with the Wolverines improving to 219-81 (.730) with tonight's victory. U-M's first Big Ten win in the facility was also against Minnesota (113-101 on Feb. 5, 1968).
The Wolverines are now 30-3 against Minnesota in Crisler Arena, tying the Gophers with Wisconsin (30-3) as the Big Ten teams Michigan has defeated the most times in the building.
For the fifth straight game and the 11th time in the last 12 outings, Michigan's starting lineup consisted of LaVell Blanchard, Bernard Robinson Jr., Daniel Horton, Lester Abram and Graham Brown. Blanchard and Horton have started every game for the Wolverines this season.
For the 12th straight game, Michigan had at least three players score in double figures. LaVell Blanchard led all scorers with 28 points, Daniel Horton scored 14 points and Bernard Robinson Jr. had 13. Dating back to last season, Michigan has had at least three players score in double figures in 24 of its last 25 games.
Michigan set a new season highs with 29 free throws made and 44 rebounds. Its previous highs were 27 free throws against Vanderbilt (Dec. 21) and 43 rebounds against Eastern Michigan (Dec. 23).
LaVell Blanchard's 28 points tonight pushed his career total to 1,654 and moved him into ninth place on Michigan's all-time scoring list. Blanchard passed Henry Wilmore (1971-73), who scored 1,652 points in his career. Bill Buntin (1963-65) holds eighth place with 1,725 points.
Blanchard connected on four of seven shots from behind the three-point line to tie Robbie Reid (1998-99) for second on Michigan all-time three-pointers made list. Both players have 160 career three-pointers.
Blanchard made his 97th career start tonight. He is now tied with Juwan Howard (1992-94) for 14th on Michigan's all-time games started list.
Blanchard connected on 10-11 from the free throw line to push his career total to 352 and move into ninth place on Michigan's all-time free throws made list. Blanchard passed Roy Tarpley (1983-86), who made 343 free throws in his career.
Blanchard matched Michigan's season high for points in a half with 24 of his game-high 28 points in the final 20 minutes. Daniel Horton scored 24 points in the first half against Bowling Green (Dec. 11).
Bernard Robinson Jr. scored 13 points and corralled 11 rebounds to record the second double-double of his career. His only other double-double came against Minnesota last year (Jan. 19, 2002), when he scored 12 points and recorded 10 rebounds.
Chris Hunter recorded one block tonight to give him 25 blocks in his career. He also recorded one assist, the 10th of his career.
Daniel Horton recorded two steals tonight to surpass the 25-steal mark for his career. Horton now has 26 career steals.
Bernard Robinson Jr. set a new career high with 11 rebounds. His previous high was 10 rebounds against Minnesota last year (Jan. 19, 2002).
Lester Abram set a career high with eight rebounds. Abram had previously recorded six rebounds on two occasions. He also had three assists to tie his career high accomplished twice previously.
LaVell Blanchard scored his 300th point of the season tonight early in the second half. Blanchard finished the game with 28 points and has 321 points this year.
Bernard Robinson Jr. collected his 100th rebound of the season. Robinson finished the game with 11 rebounds and now has 106 rebounds this year.
Blanchard scored 28 points tonight to record the 27th 20-plus points performance of his career. Blanchard's 28 points are a new season high. His previous high was 24 points vs. Charleston Southern (Dec. 14).
Michigan improved its record in its white jerseys to 6-2. Michigan is 4-2 in its maize jerseys and 2-2 in its blue jerseys.
Today's announced attendance was 11,468. It is the largest crowd at Crisler Arena this season.
