Willis Earns Big Ten Co-Athlete of the Week Recognition

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Sophomore Nick Willis (Lower Hutt, New Zealand/Hutt Zealand HS), a member of the University of Michigan men's cross country team, was named Big Ten Conference co-Athlete of the Week following his second-place performance at the Notre Dame Invitational on Oct. 3 in South Bend, Ind.

Willis paced the Wolverines for the second consecutive week, leading Michigan to a second-place finish among the 21 competing schools. He crossed the line at the 24:26 mark, his fastest time of the season and second fastest of his career.
The Wolverines will return to action on Friday (Oct. 10) for the Michigan Intercollegiate, hosted by Grand Valley State University. The race, held at the Rolling Hills Golf Course in Hudsonville, Mich., is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
