Michgan Head Coach Red Berenson
On tonight's game ... "The game was a hard-fought game. There's not much to choose between the two teams if you look at them on paper, and I think you saw that on the ice. We couldn't generate much, and they got the go-ahead goal in the third period. It was a big play. What happened to us, we can make excuses, but I don't think we can make any excuses. I just think they beat us at our own game, they created turnovers, they got good chances. We couldn't get a good flow to our game, we weren't skating well, we weren't playing well, we weren't shooting well, we couldn't get shots through when we did have the puck. I don't think we had five to six good chances all night and I can't tell you they laid back. Our power play couldn't generate anything and then we give up a power-play goal, that's the difference."
On the power play tonight ... "We controlled the puck on some of the power plays and just didn't capitalize. We didn't get the puck through to the net, we didn't execute. That's really what any power play comes down to, executing. We didn't look very good out there. The power play is not always going to be cute."
Senior Captain Defenseman Andy Burnes
On tonight's loss ... "Wisconsin came out and played a lot better than we did in all aspects of the game -- defense, offense, special teams. They were the better team out there and it showed. I don't know if it was the week off, or too much turkey last night, but they were ready to go and they took it to us. They won all the races, they did all the little things and got the best of us tonight."
On Jason Ryznar's first goal of the season ... "It was definitely good to see. He struggled with injuries early, and it was a timely goal for our team and for him. It's great to see anyone on our team put the puck in the net."
