PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Freshman Bobby Trybula (Loveland, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller HS) of the University of Michigan men's soccer team has been named the Big Ten Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday (Nov. 3). Trybula netted Michigan's game-winner in its 1-0 victory at Ohio State last Saturday (Nov. 1) in Columbus, Ohio.

Bruh's kick was sent into the Buckeye goal box, banged around a bit then landed at the feet of Kevin Taylor (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep) eight yards from the goal mouth. Taylor then found Trybula with his back to the net standing six yards out and sent the freshman the ball. Trybula was able to send a left-footed volley past the keeper at 3:12 for his first career goal, handing the Wolverines their Big Ten-leading fifth win of the season.
It marked just the second shot of the season and first shot on goal in Trybula's young Michigan career (eight games).
The Wolverines have 10 days off before heading the Big Ten Championship Nov. 13-16 in Bloomington, Ind. Depending on the outcome of the match between Penn State and Indiana next Sunday (Nov. 8), the Wolverines will either be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed. If Indiana wins the Hoosiers will win the Big Ten reguar-season title, however, if IU ties or loses Michigan will win the Big Ten regular-season crown and earn a bye in the first round of the Championship.
