Moore Receives CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan senior Erin Moore (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian HS), a member of the volleyball team, was named to the 2003 CoSIDA University Division Academic All-District IV Volleyball second team, it was announced recently. Moore is the second student-athlete in U-M volleyball history to receive Academic All-District honors, joining Shareen Luze, who received second-team accolades in 1996.

One of four players unanimously voted to the 2003 All-Big Ten Conference team, Moore established U-M single-season records for kills (522), total blocks (161) and block assists (154) in 2003 and concluded her career with 1,384 kills, the most by any student-athlete in U-M volleyball history.
To be nominated for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district. District IV is made up of Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
