Comcast to Carry CSTV's Michigan-Ohio State Broadcast

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Subscribers to Comcast in the metro Detroit area will be able to view Friday's (March 7) Central Collegiate Hockey Association game between Michigan and Ohio State, officials from College Sports Television (CSTV) announced today (Monday, March 3). CSTV, the first network devoted exclusively to college sports, will televise the opener of the two-game series between the Wolverines and Buckeyes from OSU's Value City Arena beginning at 7 p.m.
Comcast subscribers in the metro Detroit area will be able to view the game on channel 8, while Flint Comcast subscribers can watch the game on channel 70. For complete information on where to view the game, Comcast customers can check Comcast's interactive Preview Guide.
The telecast, the first-ever college hockey broadcast on the network, is the second in a series of special presentations by College Sports Television leading up to the network's official launch on Monday, April 7.
College Sports Television will televise live regular-season and championship events in more than 25 men's and women's intercollegiate sports. The network has signed agreements with more than 27 major college athletic conferences, including the CCHA, representing more than 250 colleges and universities. The CCHA is the only hockey conference represented in CSTV's lineup.
Michigan (24-9-1, 18-7-1 CCHA), currently second in the CCHA standings, is ranked eighth in the nation by U.S. College Hockey Online.com, an affiliate of ESPN.com, while No. 14 Ohio State (22-10-3, 16-8-2 CCHA) is in third place, three points behind the Wolverines.
