The special teams captain for today's game was fifth-year offensive lineman Tony Pape.
Senior tailback Chris Perry finished the game with 112 yards on 21 carries. It is the fourth time this season that he has rushed for over 100 yards. He moves his career totals to 585 carries for 2,713 yards, good for 10th place in Michigan's all-time rushing list.

Fifth-year defensive back Jeremy LeSueur returned an interception 60 yards for Michigan's second touchdown of the game. It was LeSueur's second straight week with a touchdown and ties him for the sixth longest interception return for a touchdown in school history. It was LeSueur's first-career interception returned for a touchdown and Michigan's first since Marlin Jackson's return at Notre Dame on Sept. 19, 2002.
Freshman kicker Garrett Rivas connected on a career-long 44-yard field goal to put Michigan ahead 17-0 in the second quarter. He had seven points in the game, including four PATs.
Steve Breaston caught a 20-yard pass from John Navarre for a score late in the second quarter, giving him his second straight multi-touchdown game. The catch also put him over 200 yards receiving for the season (201 yards).
Michigan has not allowed a first-quarter point in 2003.
For the second time this season, Michigan's defense held the opposing passing attack to less than 10 yards in the first half. Indiana managed eight yards in the air in the opening half; Notre Dame was held to one passing yard on Sept. 13.
Jermaine Gonzales' nine-yard reception in the first quarter was his first reception of the season.
Junior safety Marlin Jackson secured his first interception of the season late in the second quarter. It was the seventh interception of his career.
Michigan has topped 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Coming into today's matchup, the Wolverines only needed 82 total yards to eclipse the mark. The Maize and Blue has now covered 1,087 yards in the first five contests of the season.
Fifth-year senior tight end Andy Mignery caught a nine-yard pass in the first quarter for his first catch of the season.
Senior fullback Kevin Dudley hauled in a five-yard reception against the Hoosiers for his first reception of the year.
Junior wide receiver Braylon Edwards caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from John Navarre in the fourth quarter for his fourth touchdown of the season and the 14th of his career.
Sophomore fullback Brian Thompson had a career-high two receptions for 10 yards.
With 45 yards receiving against Indiana, sophomore wide receiver Jason Avant surpassed the 200-yard receiving mark on the season. Avant has 15 catches for 222 yards this year.
Fifth-year senior John Navarre finished the game with 161 yards on 15-of-24 passing. Navarre has 7,024 career yards in the air and is the first quarterback in Michigan history to pass for more than 7,000 career yards. Navarre completed passes to 10 different receivers.
Wolverines with first receptions of the season included Jermaine Gonzales (nine yards), Andy Mignery (nine yards) and Kevin Dudley (five yards).
Senior wide receiver Calvin Bell had a season-long 17-yard run in the second quarter, setting up Rivas' 44-yard field goal.
Junior defensive end Patrick Massey had five solo tackles against Indiana, including three TFLs (12 yards) and one sack (eight yards). It is the second time this season (vs. Houston, Sept. 6) that he has had three TFLs in a game (nine for his career).
Marlin Jackson and junior outside linebacker Pierre Woods shared the team lead with eight tackles.
Indiana Postgame Notes
Indiana played Saturday's game without freshman safety and leading tackler Will Meyers, who did not play after missing a team meeting.
In Michigan's starting 22, only one player has less than two years of experience. In Indiana's starting 22, 11 have less than two years of experience.
The last time Indiana won a road game was Nov. 10, 2001, when the Hoosiers handed then-No. 22 Michigan State a 37-28 defeat in East Lansing. Including Saturday's game against Michigan, Indiana has lost 10 consecutive road contests since then.
Including Saturday's game, Indiana has dropped 27 of the last 28 meetings against Michigan, with the lone victory a 14-10 triumph in 1987 at Memorial Stadium. The last time Indiana beat the Wolverines in Ann Arbor was in 1967. The Hoosiers won the Big Ten and went to the Rose Bowl that year.
Indiana forced Michigan into four turnovers in the first half, the most turnovers forced by the Hoosiers since last year's season opener against William & Mary.
The Hoosiers got on the board when Bryan Robertson kicked a 26-yard field goal in the third quarter, marking the first time Indiana has scored at Michigan Stadium since 1998. The Hoosiers suffered through a 58-0 beating at Michigan Stadium in 2000.
Indiana's 19-play, 72-yard drive that took 8:40 off the clock was the longest drive as far as both plays and time elapsed for the Hoosiers during Gerry DiNardo's two years as head coach.
Indiana outscored Michigan 3-0 in the third quarter, marking only the second time that the Hoosiers outscored the opponent in the third quarter (vs. Indiana State). Entering the game, Indiana had been outscored by the opposition during the third quarter by a combined score of 52-13.
Indiana trailed 24-0 at the half. The Hoosiers have lost the last seven games in which they trailed at halftime. The last time Indiana rallied to win a game in which it trailed at the half was Oct. 12 of last year, when the Hoosiers defeated Wisconsin 32-29 after trailing 16-10 at the half.
Defensive back Leonard Bryant picked off a John Navarre pass on Michigan's opening drive. Bryant's pick was the first for an Indiana cornerback this year and the first of his career. Fellow cornerback Duane Stone intercepted a Navarre pass on the very next drive.
Michigan's Steve Breaston broke a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter. The last time Indiana allowed an opponent to return a punt for a touchdown was against Illinois in 2000, when Christian Morton took a punt back 80 yards for a TD.
Michigan defensive back Jeremy LeSueur intercepted a Matt LoVecchio pass in the first quarter and took it back for a touchdown. The last time an opponent scored on an interception return was Nov. 16 of last year, when Penn State's Rich Gardner ran back an interception 35 yards for a score.
Fullback John Pannozzo has started all five games this year, but did not get his first carry until the first quarter of Saturday's game against Michigan. In addition, fellow fullback Jason Sullivan got a carry in the second quarter, which marked the first time in his career he has carried the ball.
