Pool, Clement Voted Co-Captains by Their Teammates

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball program recently named its two captains for the 2004-05 season with senior Tabitha Pool (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron HS) and freshman Krista Clement (St. Ignace, Mich./LaSalle HS) garnering the honor through a vote by teammates.

Pool is a first-time captain and leads the Wolverines in scoring (17.0) and rebounding (9.5), while her five double-doubles sets the pace in the Big Ten. Clement, who has started four games and leads the team in assists (29), is the first freshman captain in the history of the program.
Pool and Clement lead Michigan into its final non-conference game this season tonight (Dec. 28, 7 p.m.) against Oakland at Crisler Arena. The Wolverines open Big Ten play later this week with a pair of home tilts against Illinois (Dec. 30, 7 p.m.) and Michigan State (Jan. 2, 2 p.m.) at Crisler Arena.
