2004 Big Ten Championships Information
The University of Michigan men's golf team will play host to the 2004 Big Ten Conference Men's Golf Championships Saturday and Sunday (May 8-9) at the U-M Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Maize and Blue will host the championships for the ninth time in the school's history and first since 1994. With all 11 conference schools participating, the 2004 Big Ten Championships will be 54 holes of competition with 36 holes Saturday (May 8) and 18 holes Sunday (May 9). U-M Golf Course will be set up for a par of 71 and 6,704 yards.

Teams
The 2004 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships features all 11 teams from the conference: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Format
The 2004 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships will be altered from its previous 72-hole championship play. The 2004 tournament will be a 54-hole championship with 36 holes Saturday (May 8) and a final 18 Sunday (May 9).

Scoring Format
Scoring for the 2004 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships will be five players, count the low four scores each round.

Spectators
Admission is free for the Championship. Spectators must remain on cart paths or in the rough and approximately 15 yards from the players at all times (including practice areas). There may be no communication between players and spectators that could be deemed advice of any nature for the duration of the event. All cell phones and electronic devices must be shut off.

Spectator Parking
Spectator Parking is located in the Crisler Arena Lower Blue Lot on the north side of Stadium Blvd., across from the Michigan Golf Course clubhouse. There is a tunnel underneath Stadium Blvd. so spectators can walk directly to the clubhouse or to the No. 1 tee. Parking near the clubhouse will be restricted to teams, officials, working staff, media and anyone with a handicap permit. Appropriate signage will assist spectators to the Crisler Lower Blue Lot.

Seeding
Seeding for the 2004 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships will be based upon the final regular season GolfStat rankings. Championship seedings will be determined after the Bruce Fossum Invitational (May 1-2) in East Lansing, Mich.

Results for the 2004 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships will be posted nightly on the University of Michigan Athletic Department website, MGoBlue.com.

Each team's SID will be responsible for distribution of results to their local media. Again, the results will be available as soon as possible.
