Youth Taking Over

Christian Vozza has now led the Wolverines four times this season and has been the highest Maize and Blue finisher in three of the last four tournaments. In fact, a sophomore or freshman has led U-M in all 11 tournaments this season - Vozza (4), Kevin Dore (3), Brandon Duff (2) and Matt McLaughlin (2).
All Knotted Up

Rob Tighe is third on the team with a 76.20 average followed by Brandon Duff's 76.24.
What a Pair!

Vozza has carded 13 straight rounds under 80 strokes and 16 of his last 17 under 80. Vozza has shot over 80 just three times this season as he has 28 of 31 below the mark. He leads the team with 75.23 stroke per round. Dore has fired 17 straight rounds under 80 strokes. For the season, he has just four total rounds above 80 as he has 27 of 31 rounds below the mark. Vozza Cracks the 70-Barrier Yet Again
Christian Vozza's third-round, three-under 69 at the Fossum/TaylorMade Invitational (May 1-2) marked the third time in his career he has broken the 70-stroke barrier. Earlier this season he had a career-best four-under 67 in the third round of the Northern Intercollegiate (Sept. 20-21). He also had his first career sub-70 round in the second round of the Northern with a two-under 69.
Make It Five Going Low
Christian Vozza's 69 in the final round of the Fossum/TaylorMade Invitational (May 1-2) marked the fifth sub-70 single-round total for a Wolverine all season long. Vozza has had three total this season, while Kevin Dore (69, second round - Hoosier Invitational) and Dave Nichols (69, third round - Northern Intercollegiate) each have recorded one.In addition, the Maize and Blue only recorded two rounds under the 70-stroke barrier all of the 2002-03 season.
Breaking Through
With the third place team finish at the Furman Intercollegiate (March 28-29), the Wolverines had their highest team finish in three years. It had been 31 straight tournaments since the Wolverines last cracked into a top three finish, which was at the 2001 Kepler Intercollegiate (April 14-15, 2001).
