Senior/junior Rob Tighe (Traverse City, Mich./West HS) led the Wolverine charge, finishing the first day tied for 16th with a 144 36-hole total after carding rounds of 73 and an even-par 71. Starting the first round on No. 10, Tighe parred his first five holes before running into trouble on No. 15 when he recorded a bogey. He got back into a groove playing minus-one golf with a birdie on No. 1 through the next eight holes to sit even-par with four holes remaining. Back-to-back bogeys on 6 and 7 helped close out his round with a two-over 73.
In the second round, Tighe again got off to a red hot start on the back side, firing two birdies in his first five holes to sit at two under par early. For the second straight round, No. 15 got the best of him as he bogeyed it, raising him to one under par. He struck back with his third birdie on No. 17 to keep him in red numbers. Bogeys on No. 4 and No. 9 evened his round at par with a 71.
Freshman Kevin Dore (Dundas, Ontario/St. Mary's) followed Tighe in Wolverine scoring, finishing day one tied for 24th after carding back-to-back rounds of 73 for a 146 36-hole total. Dore opened round one on No. 10 and put up two pars before falling to one-over with a bogey on No. 12. After bogeying No. 15, he countered with a birdie on No. 16 to put him back to one-over after seven holes. Dore made the turn with a birdie on No. 1 for an overall even par before bogeying two more to conclude with a two-over 73 in round one.
In the second round, Dore maintained a steady pace, recording 14 pars in his 18 holes. He weaved in three bogeys before finishing out round two with a birdie on No. 9 for his second two-over 73 of the day.

Ohio State (279-279) sits at 10 under par as a team after setting a new conference 36-hole Big Ten Championships record with a 558.
