The University of Michigan football program will hold its annual photo day for fans on Thursday, Aug. 12, at Michigan Stadium. The defending Big Ten Conference Champion Wolverines will make their 2004 season debut for the public when they come down the historic Michigan Stadium tunnel at approximately 10:10 a.m. to take the official team picture. The event is free and open to the public.
Gate 1 and the stadium tunnel will be open for all patrons starting at 9 a.m. The tunnel entrance will be closed at approximately 9:45 a.m. to prepare for the arrival of U-M's 125th football team.
The autograph session with players and head coach Lloyd Carr will run for approximately one hour immediately following the team picture. Autograph tables will be set up along the southeast side of the stadium turf, with Carr signing autographs next to the tunnel. In order to expedite the autograph portion of the event and accommodate as many fans as possible, players and coach Carr will sign one autograph per person.
Following this event, U-M opens the 2004 season against Miami of Ohio on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Michigan Stadium. The game with the RedHawks starts at noon EDT and will be televised regionally by ABC Sports.
