Iacovelli Earns Final Big Ten Runner of the Week Award

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Senior/junior Todd Iacovelli (Kailua, Hawaii/Punahou School), a member of the University of Michigan men's cross country team, claimed the final Big Ten Conference Runner of the Week accolade of the 2005 season on Tuesday (Oct. 25), recognizing his recent performance at the EMU Classic.

The conference weekly recognition is the first of his career for Iacovelli, and he is the first Wolverine to earn the distinction this season. Michigan has claimed the final Big Ten Runner of the Week honor in each of the last three seasons.
The Wolverines will kick off the postseason on Sunday (Oct. 30) at the Big Ten Championships in Falcoln Heights, Minn. Hosted by the University of Minnesota, the 8,000-meter men's race is slated for an 11:30 a.m. CST start at Les Bolstad Golf Course.
