Clement Elected Team Captain for Second Straight Year

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball program announced today (Wednesday, Nov. 30) that sophomore guard Krista Clement (St. Ignace, Mich./LaSalle HS) has been elected as the team's captain for the 2005-06 season. Clement is carrying the honor, which is voted on by the players, for the second straight year.

Clement, who is the 13th player in program history to be named captain twice in a career, is averaging 3.8 points in five games off the bench in 2005-06.
Clement and the Wolverines continue a five-game homestand tonight against Central Michigan. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Crisler Arena, and the game will be televised by Comcast Local.
