Michigan Head Coach Cheryl Burnett
Opening statement ... "We've really been emphasizing post play in the last week. We really tried to take our team through some progression, and we went back to getting the ball back into the post. We felt that we could exploit St. Bonaventure's post play today. All of our players did a great job of trying to do what we asked of them. When you're in transition, you're able to get more looks inside. But when the defense becomes solid and gets in a zone, it's much harder to get those looks. Ta'Shia Walker was absolutely a go-to player for us in the first half. Katie Dierdorf came in and added a lot of athleticism in terms of running of the floor. She did a great job of getting out and executing."
