Michigan has lost four straight games for the first time since the 1988-89 campaign. U-M dropped six consecutively from Nov. 26-Dec. 16, 1988.
Michigan was last swept by Miami on Jan. 23-24, 1998, in Oxford.
Andrew Ebbett scored the second shorthanded goal of his career. The tally also ended his nine-game goal drought. His last marker came vs. Michigan State on Oct. 22.
T.J. Hensick has a goal in three out of the last four games and has points in eight out of nine games. He has a 7-8-15 line during the stretch.
Jack Johnson's assist moves him into a tie for ninth place on U-M's all-time freshman defenseman points list with Pat Goff (1982-83). Johnson has a 4-16-20 line in 15 games. Also, the 16th assist ties him for eighth on the rookie defenseman assists list with Jeff Norton (1984-85) and Connie Hill (1945-46).
