Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On the game ... "We really needed that one, especially when we were behind going into the third period. I thought our upperclassmen -- and we don't have many of them -- really battled hard. Certainly the goals helped. Our defense -- (Matt) Hunwick, (Jason) Dest, (Tim) Cook and (David) Rohlfs in particular -- gave us really good games. I think our team stuck together. Sometimes you can become unraveled. It was not turning out to be the weekend that we wanted, but we stuck together."
U-M Freshman Forward Tim Miller
On playing at Joe Louis Arena ... "It was a ton of fun to play at Joe Louis. Especially growing up here and watching the Red Wings play here since I was a little kid. It was exciting to be out on the ice in front of all of those fans. But I just wanted to play as hard as I could to give those fans a good show for Michigan."
