The Wolverines won their season-best sixth consecutive game. It stands as the longest winning streak since Michigan won eight in a row from Dec. 28, 2003-Feb. 6, 2004.
Michigan extended its season-best unbeaten streak to nine games (7-0-2). Michigan last had a nine-game (7-0-2) unbeaten streak during the 2002-03 season from March 1, 2003 to March 30, 2003.
U-M tallied multiple power-play goals (4-for-7) for the 14th time this season. Michigan is 22-1-2 when scoring at least one power-play marker and is a perfect 14-0-0 when scoring two or more.
The Wolverines finished the season undefeated (10-0-2) against teams in their CCHA cluster. U-M was a collective 8-0-0 vs. Bowling Green and Notre Dame and was 2-0-2 against Michigan State.
Michigan has won eight straight overall games against Bowling Green and is 10-0-1 in the last 11 meetings. U-M is 67-30-3 all-time against the Falcons.
All of Michigan's 10 seniors were dressed tonight for their final regular-season home game. The five Michigan starters were all seniors.
Andrew Ebbett set a career best with a goal in his fourth consecutive game. He had one goal and one assist to earn his 10th multi-point game this season.
Jeff Tambellini surpassed his single-season career best for points (45) with his goal and two assists tonight. This season he has a line of 18-29-47. In 2002-03 he had 26 goals and 19 assists. Tambellini tied his single-season career high with his sixth power-play goal of the season. He also had six in 2002-03.
With tonight's three-point effort, Tambellini has 16 multi-point games on the season.
Tambellini's point streak was extended to four games. He has multiple points in each of those contests for a 4-7-11 line.
With three assists tonight, Eric Werner surpassed his single-season career best for points (25), which he established his freshman year in 2001-02. This season Werner has seven goals and 20 assists for 27 points. His 20 assists this season tie his single-season career high, also set in 2001-02.
Werner upped his career-best point streak to six games with his three assists tonight. He has one goal and 10 assists during the current stretch. His three helpers tonight resulted in his sixth multi-point effort of the season.
Werner's three assists tied a career high. He had one other playmaker, which occurred at Lake Superior State on Jan. 31, 2002.
T.J. Hensick broke his single-season career-best point total of 46, set last season. Hensick recorded two assists tonight to increase his season line to 22-26-48. In 2003-04, he had 12 goals and 34 assists.
With his two assists tonight, Hensick kept his point streak alive at six games. He has a 6-6-12 line during the span. Hensick has 16 multi-point games this season.
Milan Gajic's goal brought his season point total to 33 (16-17-33), which ties his single-season career high, set in 2003-04 (13-20-33). His seventh power-play marker of the season is his single-season career best.
Chad Kolarik continues to lead the team in both power-play goals (8) and game-winners (4). His first of two goals came on the power play, while his second turned into the eventual game-clinching tally. His two goals tied a career high and gave him his 10th multi-point game this season.
Recently retired Wilf Martin, a longtime U-M athletic department staff member and former hockey letterwinner (1964-65), was recognized during the first intermission tonight. Martin won a national championship with Michigan in 1963-64 and was the team captain in 1964-65.
